How to Cite and Credit The Publishing Times
Quoting us, linking to us, showing our badge, or sending us news: here is how.
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Preferred attribution
When you use facts, figures, or reporting from one of our articles, credit The Publishing Times by name and link to the specific article, not just our homepage. Our preferred wording is:
As reported by The Publishing Times (https://thepublishingtimes.com/blog/ARTICLE-SLUG)
On a web page, link the name to the article:
As reported by <a href="https://thepublishingtimes.com/blog/ARTICLE-SLUG">The Publishing Times</a>
Please write the name as The Publishing Times. When one of our news summaries points to another outlet's reporting, credit that outlet as the original source; the summary links to it.
Linking
- Link to the article you are citing. The article URL is the address in your browser on the story page.
- A normal, followed link is appreciated. You never need permission to link to us.
- Please do not frame our pages inside your site or make our work look like your own.
Quoting limits
You are welcome to quote a short passage, up to about two or three sentences, as long as you credit The Publishing Times and link to the article. Quote us exactly, and keep the quote in context.
Quotes from other people that appear in our stories belong to them. Credit the speaker, and credit us as the place the quote appeared.
Republishing and reprint permission
Without written permission, please do not:
- republish a full article, or a substantial part of one, in print, online, in a newsletter, or in a feed;
- translate and publish a full article;
- reuse our original illustrations and article artwork;
- copy our articles systematically, for example into a database or a content service.
To request reprint or syndication rights, email press@thepublishingtimes.com with the subject line "Reprint request". Include the article link, where it would appear, the audience, and how long it would stay up. Please wait for written permission before republishing. Book covers, logos, and photographs from other sources in our stories belong to their owners and are not ours to license.
Logo and badge use
Use our wordmark to refer to The Publishing Times or to link to our coverage. If we have written about you, you can show the "As featured in" badge; our badge page builds the embed code that links it to your article.
- Don't change the colors, proportions, or wording of the logo or badge, and don't combine them with other marks.
- Don't use them in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor, or have reviewed a product, book, or service unless we actually wrote about it.
- Always link the badge to the article about you.
How press teams and sources can send news
Publishers, platforms, prize administrators, agencies, and authors can send press releases, announcements, data, and tips to press@thepublishingtimes.com. You can also use our contact form.
- Put the news in the subject line, and paste the release into the body of the email as well as attaching it.
- Link to the primary source: the official announcement, filing, rules page, or dataset. We confirm facts there before we publish.
- If a release is embargoed, say so in the subject line with the date, time, and time zone. We honor embargoes we have agreed to.
- Include a contact who can answer questions on the record.
Sending news does not guarantee coverage, and coverage cannot be bought. We decide what to publish under our Editorial Standards. Tips are verified independently before anything is published. To suggest a blog, newsletter, or outlet for our monitoring, use Suggest a Source; organizations can also apply to the partner network.
Requesting a correction
If something we published is wrong, tell us on our Corrections page. Include the article link, what is wrong, and the correct information with a source. Corrections of fact are noted on the article and listed in our corrections log.
