BookBub Will Resend Featured Deals to Readers Who Miss the First Email
BookBub now sends a Featured Deal again the next day to some subscribers who didn't open the first email. BookBub says to keep the price low for at least two days after the deal date.

What changed with BookBub Featured Deals? In a September 22 update for partners, BookBub said a Featured Deal "may be sent" again the next day to subscribers who didn't open the email on the promotion date. The resend costs nothing extra, and BookBub says its tests showed more clicks on deals.
How the resend works
- Only subscribers who didn't open the first email are eligible.
- Whether a particular deal gets resent is personalized, based on each reader's past opens and clicks. Not every deal goes out again, and not to every subscriber.
- The resend is included in the promotion price you already pay.
- BookBub recommends keeping your discount price for at least two days after the promotion date.
Why the second day matters
The resend is useful only if the price is still low when it arrives. A reader who clicks on day two and finds the full price has been lost. For authors who schedule price changes through KDP or a distributor, remember that price updates can take hours to show up in every store. Setting the discount to end right after the feature date was already risky. Now it throws away part of what you paid for.
What to do before your next Featured Deal
- Keep the discount running for three days or more (the feature day plus the two BookBub recommends), and give store price updates time to go through before and after.
- Plan other promotions with day two in mind. If you stack other newsletter promotions, remember BookBub traffic may now peak twice. Spreading other promos later in the week makes it easier to see what each one did.
- Read results over the whole window. Compare total sales and page-read changes across the full window, not just the feature day.
- Check your read-through links. A second wave of readers is a second chance for them to find book two. Make sure the series page and back-matter links are correct before the deal runs.
What it does NOT mean
Every subscriber will not get your deal twice. BookBub decides who gets the resend based on reading history, and it hasn't said how often deals are resent. Do not change your expectations or your budget until you have your own numbers.
Desk takeaway
A Featured Deal now effectively runs over two days. Keep the price low for the whole window, look at results across all of it, and keep the rest of your promotion calendar out of the way.
